Development process

Objective

Build an animatronic eye that detects a person and physically follows their position around a room.

Perception

A camera feeds a computer vision pipeline running on Raspberry Pi. OpenCV and Python provide the processing used to detect and track the person’s position.

Actuation

The tracking output drives a servo-actuated eye mechanism, translating visual position into physical movement.

System behaviour

The homepage describes smooth, continuous tracking in real time. Quantitative test results and build photographs have not yet been published.

Photos & drawings

Build photos and drawings will be added here as the project documentation is assembled.

Video demonstrations

Project footage is not available yet. Demonstrations and process walkthroughs will be added here.
